Meet Felicia Ahlborn, RN-BC, msn, IBCLC
Welcome to my site! My name is Felicia, and I bring over 20 years of experience in maternal-child nursing to my work as a childbirth educator and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Throughout my career, I've supported families at every stage of the childbearing process.
My journey in maternal-child healthcare has been diverse and fulfilling. My experience includes hands-on experience in labor and delivery, where I assisted in bringing new life into the world. Additionally, I've worked in community health as part of the Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP), serving some of New York City's most vulnerable mothers and babies. This opportunity deepened my understanding of the challenges many families face and reinforced my passion for supporting women and families during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and breastfeeding.
I’ve also worked in an OB-GYN practice, where I guided patients through their prenatal and postnatal care. I had the privilege of teaching prepared childbirth classes at a major metropolitan NYC hospital, helping expectant families feel confident and informed as they approached labor and delivery. In addition to these roles, I’ve taught pediatrics to nursing students, helping to shape the next generation of nurses with my knowledge and experience.
I hold a master’s in nursing education, which enables me to provide clear, evidence-based education to families, empowering them to make informed choices. As an IBCLC, I specialize in breastfeeding support, helping mothers navigate the challenges and joys of lactation with confidence.
Currently, I work as a clinical quality improvement specialist for maternal-child nursing, where I focus on enhancing the quality of care and outcomes for mothers and babies. This role allows me to apply my expertise to improve clinical practices, ensuring that families receive the best care possible.
As a mother of three, I truly understand the importance of support, education, and personalized care. My passion for maternal and child health drives me to provide compassionate, comprehensive services that honor each family’s unique journey.

Lactation Consultations
As an IBCLC, I provide personalized support and guidance to help you overcome any breastfeeding challenges. I offer both in-person and virtual consultations to fit your needs and schedule.
Childbirth Classes
We offer a variety of classes and workshops to help you prepare for childbirth, including prenatal classes, prepared childbirth, breastfeeding basics, postpartum and infant care, and, coming soon, infant safety and CPR. Be sure to check back, as additional classes will be added soon! Classes are available in a classroom setting, via Zoom, or privately in your home for your convenience.
